Blue Guardian Futures rules by account size (25K to 150K): targets, EOD drawdown, daily loss limits, consistency, payout caps and prices for Standard, Reserve, Express and Direct

By TradeDesk HQ editorial desk · checked against the official sources below

The short answer

Blue Guardian Futures sells four current futures models in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes: three one-phase evaluations (Standard, Reserve and Express) and Direct, an instant funded account with no evaluation. On the 50K Standard evaluation the profit target is $3,000 (6%), the max drawdown is $2,000 EOD trailing, the daily loss limit is $1,000 and a breach is a soft breach that pauses trading until the next day, there is no consistency rule on the evaluation and 40% on funded account, and the limit is 4 Mini / 40 Micro. The 50K Standard costs $209 one-time at list price ($136 with code HALLOWEEN on 15 October 2026), with no monthly or activation fee, no time limit, and passing in one trading day is possible. Funded traders receive a 90% profit split; on the 50K Standard the first payout is capped at $2,500 and later payouts at $3,000, payouts open 3 days after placing first trade, and only profit above the $2,100 buffer can be withdrawn. Every figure is copied from blueguardian.com/futures and Blue Guardian's futures help center as read on 15 October 2026; where Blue Guardian's own pages disagree we show both.

FAQ

What are Blue Guardian Futures 50K rules?

On the 50K Standard evaluation the profit target is $3,000, the max drawdown $2,000 EOD trailing and the daily loss limit $1,000 (soft breach), with no consistency rule on the evaluation and 40% on the funded account, and a 4 Mini / 40 Micro limit. It costs $209 list, one-time, with no activation or monthly fee. (per helpfutures.blueguardian.com, checked )

Does Blue Guardian Futures have a daily loss limit?

Yes on most accounts, and it is a soft breach: trading stops for the day and the account is reinstated next trading day. On a 50K it is $1,000 on Standard and Express and $1,250 on Direct. Reserve defaults to $1,200 unless you buy the No Daily Loss Limit option, and 25K Standard (both stages) and the 25K Express evaluation have none. (per helpfutures.blueguardian.com, checked )

How does the Blue Guardian Futures trailing drawdown work?

It is an End-of-Day (EOD) trailing drawdown: the limit moves up only with a new highest end-of-day closing balance and stops trailing at starting balance plus $100. On a 50K, once the closing balance reaches $52,100 the limit locks at $50,100, and after any payout the floor locks at $50,100. (per helpfutures.blueguardian.com, checked )

When can you get paid on a Blue Guardian Futures Standard account?

On a funded Standard account, payouts open 3 days after placing first trade, once your best day is under 40% of total profits and the balance is above the buffer ($52,100 on a 50K). The 50K first payout is capped at $2,500 and later payouts at $3,000, with a 90% profit split. (per helpfutures.blueguardian.com, checked )

How do Blue Guardian Standard, Reserve, Express and Direct payouts differ?

Standard has payout caps that rise after the first payout and needs the balance above a funded buffer ($2,100 on a 50K). Reserve needs no buffer and pays up to 50% of profit per request after 5 winning days. Express pays daily up to a cap ($1,100 a day on a 50K). Direct needs no buffer but has profit goals ($3,000 for the first payout on a 50K). All pay a 90% split. (per helpfutures.blueguardian.com, checked )

Where these figures come from

Prices and plan rules come from the plan tables on blueguardian.com/futures (the same plan data sits on the homepage), and rule detail from the 21 English articles of Blue Guardian's futures help center, helpfutures.blueguardian.com, read on 15 October 2026. The plan data behind the futures page stores dollar values with a doubled sign, for example $$3,000; we show one $. Each price cell gives the list price first and then the price the page shows with the code printed on that card: HALLOWEEN (35% off) on Standard, Express and Direct, BG25 (25% off) on Reserve. Blue Guardian also runs a CFD program with different rules; nothing on this page applies to it. The futures page marks one card per model popular (50K on Reserve, 100K on Standard, Express and Direct); we use the 50K Standard for the key-rules box because it has no checkout options and its page and help-article figures agree.

The four models

Standard: one-phase evaluation, fixed contract limits, no consistency rule on the evaluation, payout caps that rise after the first payout. Reserve: one-phase evaluation with checkout options for the daily loss limit and the consistency rule, no funded buffer, payouts capped at 50% of profit. Express: one-phase evaluation built for daily payouts with a daily payout cap. Direct (Instant Funding): no evaluation and no profit target; you trade a funded account from day one under a scaling consistency rule. All Blue Guardian Futures accounts operate on a one-time purchase model: no monthly subscription fees, no recurring renewal fees and no hidden activation fees. Every evaluation needs the 6% profit target while respecting all trading rules and risk limits, and once the target is reached, the account will undergo a final review. Models sold before July 6th (Standard, Rapid, Pro and Instant Standard) are legacy plans; accounts bought then keep their original rules.

Standard accounts

The 50K Standard evaluation needs $3,000. The daily loss limit is 2% of the initial balance, except for $25,000 accounts, which do not have a daily loss limit: $1,000 on the 50K, $2,000 on the 100K and $3,000 on the 150K, on the evaluation and the funded account. Breaching it closes all open trades and the account is automatically reinstated on the next trading day. Max drawdown is $1,000, $2,000, $3,500 and $5,000 by size, EOD trailing. There is no consistency rule on the evaluation, and Blue Guardian says a Standard can pass in as little as one trading day. On the funded account a 40% consistency rule applies: one trading day cannot account for more than 40% of your total profits within a payout cycle. Breaking it does not breach the account; the payout button stays unavailable until you make more profit. Blue Guardian's example: a $2,000 day needs total profits of at least $5,000. Payouts: the first payout is capped at $1,500, $2,500, $3,000 and $4,000 by size, and every later payout at $2,000, $3,000, $3,500 and $4,500; on the 50K that is $2,500 on the 1st payout, $3,000 on 2nd+ payouts. The balance must stay above the funded buffer ($1,600, $2,100, $3,600 and $5,100), so on a 50K you can only withdraw above $52,100; Blue Guardian's example has $1,900 available at a $54,000 balance. Payout frequency: 3 days after placing first trade. A reset costs $104, $141, $223 or $286 and is fixed regardless of any active promotions or discount codes. A funded account breached before its first payout can be reactivated up to 2 times within 30 calendar days for $450, $750, $900 or $1,200.

Reserve accounts

Reserve has the same profit targets, with max drawdown of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,500, EOD trailing. Two checkout options change the rules and the price. Daily loss limit: the default is $600, $1,200, $1,700 or $3,000 by size (exceeding it is a soft breach), and the No Daily Loss Limit option removes it for a higher price; on the 50K that is $1,200 by default; None with the No Daily Loss Limit option ($168 list, $126 with BG25). Consistency: the futures page default is 40% Consistency, labelled 3 Day Pass, and 50% Consistency, labelled 2 Day Pass, costs more ($128 list, $96 with BG25 on the 50K with the default DLL, or $195 / $146 with No Daily Loss Limit). The 50% rule has a 1% Consistency Cushion, so on a 50K that reaches exactly $3,000 the largest day can be $1,530 instead of $1,500. The rule applies only during the Challenge; funded Reserve accounts have no consistency rule. Payouts: no buffer, and each request can take 50% of profit, up to $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000. You need 5 winning days of at least $100, $150, $200 or $250, which do not need to be consecutive and reset after each payout. For Reserve accounts purchased on or after July 27, 2026, payouts 2 to 5 also need net profit since the last payout of $500, $750, $1,000 or $1,250. The reset fee is calculated at 10% less of the base-discounted amount paid, so it depends on the options and code used.

Express accounts

Express evaluations carry a 40% consistency rule (a 50% option labelled 2 Day Pass is sold for more), and funded Express accounts have none. The daily loss limit, a soft breach, is none on the 25K challenge and $500 on the 25K funded account, and $1,000 on both 50K stages; for 100K and 150K the futures page and the article disagree (see below). Max drawdown is EOD trailing. Express pays daily up to a cap: $600, $1,100, $1,500 or $2,500 per day, with a minimum payout of $250, $500, $1,000 or $1,500. For accounts bought on or after September 2nd, from the second payout onward you must first make new profit equal to 50% of your previous payout; Blue Guardian's example is $550 after a $1,100 withdrawal on a 50K. The funded buffer is $1,100, $2,100, $2,600 or $3,600 in the Express article. Resets cost $72, $121, $191 or $261, and reactivation $180, $330, $450 or $750.

Direct accounts (no evaluation)

Direct has no profit target or evaluation phase; you sign the trader agreement and trade. For accounts bought on or after July 21, the daily loss limit is $1,000, $1,250, $2,500 or $3,000 (soft breach). The max drawdown is $1,500, $2,000, $3,500 or $4,500, EOD. Each payout needs a profit goal ($1,500, $3,000, $6,000 or $9,000 for the first, then $1,000, $2,000, $3,500 or $4,500) and a scaling consistency rule: 20% on the 1st payout, 25% on the 2nd and 30% from the 3rd onward. There is no profit buffer. Payouts 1 to 3 are capped at $1,000 (fixed), $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000 and payouts 4+ at $1,000 (fixed), $2,500, $3,000 or $3,500. The Direct article lists no reset or reactivation fee.

How the drawdown works

Standard, Reserve and Express use an End-of-Day (EOD) trailing drawdown. In Blue Guardian's words, your maximum loss limit moves up when you achieve a new highest end-of-day closing balance; it does not trail unrealized profits during the session or move back down after a losing day. It stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance plus $100: on a 50K, once your end-of-day closing balance reaches $52,100, your maximum loss limit locks at $50,100. After any payout or withdrawal the drawdown floor locks at starting balance + $100 ($25,100, $50,100, $100,100 or $150,100).

Payouts, split and fees

Funded traders receive a 90% profit split on every model; Blue Guardian's example is $900 to the trader from $1,000 of profit. Payout requests are processed within 24 business hours through Rise or crypto, and the payout policy adds that all payouts are subject to a 3% processing fee. Under the 24-hour payout guarantee, for accounts covered by it, an eligible payout that takes longer earns an additional 10% profit share on that payout. KYC verification must be completed before any payout. Minimum withdrawal amounts differ between articles (see below).

Contract limits and funded scaling

1 Mini = 10 Micros, and you can mix them within the limit; on a 50K Standard Account with a 4 Mini / 40 Micro limit you can hold 4 Minis, 40 Micros or 2 Minis + 20 Micros. Standard and Direct limits stay the same on the evaluation and funded account. Reserve and Express give full size on the evaluation, then start funded accounts lower and scale at end of day: a 50K starts at 2 Mini / 20 Micro, unlocks 3 / 30 at +$1,500 and 4 / 40 at +$2,000. Orders above the limit are rejected, and a lower EOD balance can reduce the tier again.

Live account

The Live account cannot be bought. Reaching Payout 5, large lifetime payouts or exceptional performance can put you in a Live Review Pool, and the risk team decides. Approved traders' eligible funded accounts (each with at least one payout) merge into one Live account with real CME execution, a $0 starting balance and a combined Live drawdown of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 per 25K, 50K, 100K or 150K account, up to $15,000. Live pays 90% / 10% with daily payouts and no payout caps, has no daily loss limit and no consistency rule, and news trading is not permitted. A one-time Live Buyout pays 50% of the combined starting Live drawdown instead.

Other rules

Trading hours are 18:00-16:10 EST, and all open trades automatically close at 4:10 PM EST without counting as a breach. Trading within 2% of a CME price limit is prohibited. News trading is allowed on challenge and funded accounts. You may buy as many evaluations as you wish, but no more than 5 funded accounts can trade at once. Scalping is allowed, but less than 50% of your total profits may come from trades held for under 10 seconds. AI, bots and fully automated trading are prohibited, semi-automated trading is allowed only if you actively monitor it, and automated systems that exceed 200 trades per day are limited. Hedging and Martingale strategies are not permitted, and copy trading is allowed only between accounts you own. Inactivity: evaluation accounts need at least one trade every 30 calendar days; funded accounts upgraded before 10 October 2026 every 7 calendar days, and those upgraded on or after 10 October 2026 every 10 calendar days. Platforms: Deepcharts, and Tradovate with NinjaTrader and TradingView. Stop losses are not mandatory.

Where Blue Guardian's own pages differ

(a) Reserve daily loss limit: the Reserve article's summary table shows no daily loss limit and the introduction calls Reserve accounts flexible funded accounts with no daily loss limits, while the same article's text says Reserve Accounts include a Daily Loss Limit by default and the futures page checkout defaults to the $1,200 DLL on a 50K. The rule lists on the futures page also say None for Reserve. (b) Reserve consistency default: the futures page and the article's summary table make 40% the default with 50% as an add-on; the article text calls 50% the standard rule and 40% an optional lower-priced add-on. Both agree 40% is the cheaper choice. (c) Express 100K and 150K: the futures page lists evaluation daily loss limits of $1,500 and $2,250 and evaluation drawdowns of $3,000 and $4,500; the Express article lists $1,250 and $1,750 and drawdowns of $2,500 and $3,500, which match the futures page's funded figures. (d) Express buffers: the Express article (and the futures page's buffer balances of $102,600 and $153,600) put the 100K and 150K buffers at $2,600 and $3,600; the payout policy says $3,600 and $5,100. (e) Standard 25K: the max drawdown is $1,000, but the trailing stop table says the limit stops trailing at a $26,600 balance and locks at $25,100 ($1,500 apart), and the buffer is $1,600; on the other sizes the stop balance is the drawdown plus starting balance plus $100. (f) Direct drawdown: the Direct article says End-of-Day (EOD) trailing drawdown with a stop-trailing table; the futures page tooltip calls it Static drawdown (no trailing). (g) Scaling: the Standard and Direct summary tables say Position Scaling Yes; the contract limits article says Standard and Direct Accounts do not use scaling. (h) Minimum withdrawal: the Standard, Reserve and Express articles say $100 via crypto and $500 via rise, the payout policy says $500 Crypto / $500 Rise, and the Direct article says $1000 via crypto and $1000 via rise. Of the current-model pages, only the payout policy mentions the 3% processing fee (the legacy article also has it). (i) Payout timing: the futures page says approved payouts are processed in 1 hour on average and that you get paid on-demand, weekly or bi-weekly depending on account type and add-ons, and its default plan widget shows Instant Payouts, which belongs to the CFD plan; the articles say 24 business hours, and Standard pays 3 days after placing first trade. (j) Payout guarantee: the futures page says 24-hours payout guarantee / $1,000 extra; the guarantee article says an additional 10% profit share. (k) Discounts: the bundle article lists 25% off for 1 account up to 40% off plus a 5th account free; the futures page's bundle tiers run from 35% to 50% (30% to 50% on Reserve, and Standard's last tier reads 100%), the banner says HALLOWEEN gives 35% off on all accounts, and the Reserve cards carry BG25 at 25%. (l) Headline claims: the futures page says Trade up to $750K and its description says up to $450K of capital and Keep 100% of your profits, and says select plans pay out 100%; every futures model lists a 90% profit split. (m) Inactivity: the introduction says funded accounts need one trade every 7 calendar days; the prohibited strategies article (updated 12 October 2026) says 10 calendar days for funded accounts upgraded on or after 10 October 2026. (n) Typo: the Express article prints the 25K profit target as $,1500; the futures page shows $1,500. (o) Funded position size on Reserve and Express: the contract limits article and the Reserve and Express summary tables (progressive scaling system on funded) say funded accounts start lower (2 Mini / 20 Micro on a 50K) and scale up, while the futures page's funded rule lists show the full evaluation size (4 Mini | 40 Micro on a 50K Reserve or Express).
