How prop firm affiliate and promo codes work (and why we disclose)

By TradeDesk HQ editorial desk · checked 2026-10-14 against the official sources below

The short answer

Most prop firms run affiliate programs: creators share a link or code, the trader may get a discount, and the creator earns a commission. Examples from official pages: Topstep affiliate codes give 20% off the first evaluation; FTMO pays affiliates 8–20% on first CFD purchases; FundedNext pays 10–18% on CFD first purchases by tier.

What this means for you

A code shared by a creator usually pays that creator. Third-party 'rewards' codes (for example the SMART code used by SmartPropFirm) credit the site that issued them, not the firm's public promotion. We only list codes the firms themselves publish.

Our disclosure

Under the FTC Endorsement Guides, paid relationships must be disclosed clearly and close to the link. Paid links on this site are labelled 'paid link' and marked rel=sponsored.
